FAQ
Is the wheel really random?
Yes. Every entry has an equal chance on every spin. The winner is picked with your browser's built-in secure random number generator, the same kind used for passwords and encryption, and the wheel then spins to land on it.
How do I show just the wheel on a projector or big screen?
Select the eye button next to "Spin the wheel" to hide the entries and settings. The wheel grows to fill the space. For even more room, turn on your browser's full-screen mode (F11 on Windows, or Control + Command + F on Mac).
Can I pick more than one winner?
Yes. Inside of Wheel Settings, set "Winners per spin" to 2, 3, or 5. The wheel spins once for each winner, and each winner leaves the wheel for the rest of that spin so nobody is picked twice. Everyone is back on the wheel for the next spin unless you remove them.
How does the Team Maker work?
It takes the names on your wheel, shuffles them with the same secure random generator the wheel uses, and deals them out one at a time like cards. Choose how many teams you want or how many people per team, then select "Make teams". Select it again for a fresh shuffle.
Are my entries saved?
Your entries, settings, past winners, and teams are saved only in this browser on this device, so they're still here when you come back. They are never sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.
How many entries can I add?
Up to 500. With lots of entries the names get too small to read on the wheel, but every entry still has a fair chance and the winner is always shown in full.
Can I use this for commercial use?
Yes. Use it for giveaways (on Discord or social media like Twitter/X), raffles, picking challenges or teams, deciding turns, etc. No payment necessary.
